Lighting Source celebrates its 20th anniversary! Proudly continuing
to represent the finest specialty lighting manufacturers, while further developing and defending the interdependent
partnerships of our customers and principals.
August
2002
The
Lighting Source relocates office to Brighton, centrally located within our
sales territory, with convenient access to all local highways and
expressways.
This new office serves as a showcase for many of the product lines
represented by the agency.
September
2000
The
Lighting Source receives its third "Excellence in Education"
Award at the ALA Convention in Washington, DC.
March
13-14, 2000
The
Lighting Source hosts (4) specialty 3.5 hour lighting seminars,
in our in-house training center/lighting lab. Topics covered system
design and layout fundamentals of low voltage lighting systems, and was
presented to over 30 of our valued distributor sales
personnel.
December
2, 1999
The
Lighting Source presented a 1 hour seminar to 250 electrical inspectors at
their Annual Meeting of the Michigan Chapter of the International
Association of Electrical Inspectors (IAEI), in Flint, MI. Topic included
discussion of proper application and installation of low voltage lighting
systems. This seminar was
approved for continuing education units, under Michigan Act 54 of the
State of Michigan Bureau of Construction Code.
December
2 & 3, 1999
The
Lighting Source hosts two 2.5 hour lighting seminars,
in our in-house training center/lighting lab. Topic included
fundamentals of layout and design of low voltage lighting systems. Total number
of seminar attendees: 25!
October 1999
The
Lighting Source receives its second "Excellence in Education"
Award at the ALA Convention in Indian Wells, California.
March
13-14 '99
The
Lighting Source hosts its first two specialty 3.5 hour lighting seminars,
in our in-house training center/lighting lab. Topics included
fundamentals of layout and design of linear (indoor) low voltage lighting
system and low
voltage landscape lighting systems. Total number
of seminar attendees: 69! Guests included showroom sales
personnel, electrical distributors and builders.
September '98 - June '99
The
Lighting Source receives 4 consecutive quarterly sales performance awards
from a manufacturer it has represented for over 10 years!
January 1998
The Lighting Source was presented with awards from four of its manufacturers,
during the International Lighting Market in Dallas, for outstanding sales
achievement. The awards included Plaques of Recognition, a cash bonus,
a trip for two on a Caribbean Cruise, and a "Quota Club" achievers dinner
at the Mansion at Turtle Creek in Dallas.
September 15, 1997
The Lighting Source, Inc. was honored at the American Lighting Association's
annual convention held in Toronto, with the "Excellence in Education"
Award for the Manufacturers Representatives category. This recognition
is awarded to those who support the continuing educational opportunities
of their customers as well as their own personnel.
